The OVAL Board has voted in favor of adopting the 5.11.2 branch of the OVAL Language (please reference the e-mail below for details on the vote and what changes the 5.11.2 branch brings).

We expect this branch to be merged sometime tomorrow and for associated Wiki documentation to be updated accordingly, which will complete the release.  Once complete, we’ll send another note to this list.

This message announces that the OVAL Board is presently voting on the adoption of the “5.11.2” branch of the OVAL Language [1] (change log can be seen at [2]).  The 5.11.2 branch does update the core version from 5.11.1 to 5.11.2, but updates platform schemas to 5.11.1:1.x to maintain backwards compatibility and allow an SCAP 1.3 annex to reference the release.

The vote will end at 23:59 UTC on December 9.  A release timeframe will be determined upon a passing vote.

Special thanks to David Solin for handling the 70+ issues, and to all who have already reviewed the 5.11.2 branch.

The 5.11.2 branch has been merged (see the master branch here [1]), and Wiki documentation has been updated [2].

Thanks again goes to David Solin for merging the changes and making the Wiki updates, and to all of those who reviewed the branch before its acceptance.
